Explosion at Kitchener home ‘not suspicious’

Fire crews were called to a Kitchener home early Tuesday afternoon to investigate a possible explosion.
Officials with Kitchener Fire confirm to 570 NEWS the call came in around 12:11 p.m.
They received word that there was “some type of explosion in the garage of a home” on Cherrytree Court.
Luckily, no one was injured in the incident – and the scene has since been released back to the homeowner.
The exact cause of the explosion is undetermined, and although it’s not considered suspicious – the cause remains under investigation.
