OPP investigating fatal crash in Perth East

Provincial police continue to investigate after a fatal crash in The Township of Perth East.
It happened Friday just before 8:30 p.m. on Perth Road 131.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says OPP, Paramedics, and Perth Fire responded to the scene.
“Firefighters on scene had to extricate the male passenger, and as a result – he was pronounced deceased on scene. So I’m sad to say we are now involved in a fatal motor vehicle collision investigation.”
Sanchuk says the victim’s identity is being withheld as next of kin is notified – and there’s no word on charges at this time.
Perth Road 131 was shut down between Perth line 80 and Line 83 for hours overnight for the investigation.
