It’s the unofficial end of the Christmas holiday season.
It’s New Year’s Day, meaning most stores are closed, including Cambridge Centre, Fairview Park and Conestoga Malls.
All outlets of The Beer Store are closed today as are most LCBO stores.
Most municipal offices are closed today.
Grand River Transit is operating on a Sunday service schedule.
There is no garbage, blue box or green bin pick up today. The schedule is pushed back a day the entire week.
