Seven-year-old boy falls down staircase at Guelph home, airlifted to hospital

Police, fire, and paramedics were called to a Guelph home after a young boy fell down a spiral staircase and suffered serious injuries.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. Thursday on Willow Road.
The seven-year-old slipped through a space in the staircase, and fell from one floor to the other.
He was wedged and sustained a head trauma, but was conscious when EMS arrived.
The boy was taken to Guelph General, before being airlifted to an out of town hospital.
Guelph Police say his current condition isn’t known, and officers are quote “not investigating this unfortunate accident further.”
