Crash knocks over fuel truck, closes intersection in Mapleton

Charges are pending after a crash at an intersection in the Township of Mapleton.
OPP say it happened around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at County Road 12 and County Road 7 in Parker.
“A fuel truck, and larger size stake truck collided. I don’t know, right now, how that happened, but the result is that the fuel truck did end up on it’s side,” explains Constable Mary Lou Schwindt.
One driver suffered minor injuries in the crash, and tows have been called to clear the scene.
OPP now say the crash resulted in a minor fuel spill, but it was quickly fixed.
County Road 7 is currently closed between Alma and Rothsay, while County 12 is closed between 12th Line and 14th Line.
OPP say the closure is expected to be in effect until approximately 7:00 p.m.
