TOPIC: National Hunger Awareness week GUEST: Sandy Millar, co-chair of the Canadian Student Leadership Conference This conference will bring 1000 students and 500 staff from across Canada to Waterloo. The conference chose The Food Bank for their service focus. One of the workshops offered during this week long conference will focus on hunger and  on Sat. Sept. 30 the students will be very visible in our community raising awareness and helping to raise food for The Food Bank.  These young leaders will be encouraged to take their experiences here back to their home communities, learn more about hunger and their local food banks and put some of what they learn into action. An interview could talk about the conference itself, national hunger numbers and our local situation.
