K-W Oktoberfest gets new venue, LOT42 in Kitchener

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is getting a brand new venue for 2017, and it’s nice and close to the downtown core.

Starting this year, LOT42 on Ardelt Avenue in Kitchener is getting added to roster of Oktoberfest Festhalles.

Patrick Doyle, Managing Partner at LOT42, says it’s a dream come true for their establishment.

“We’ve always thought Oktoberfest would be good at our venue. Through a series of events, they actually came and asked us if we had some space, and we said yes. It was as simple as that.”

Doyle says LOT42 has enough space to allow the event to grow over the years as well.

“We offer a unique industrial setting, built by a German industrialist. It just seemed like a good fit. We aren’t really comparing ourselves to other Festhalles, as each one has its own thing to offer. We think our space will just add to it.”

Doyle says they’ll be hosting an opening gala on September 29th, a fashion show on October 4th, the Rogers Woman of the Year Award on October 5th, and the Rotary Lunch on October 6th.

In a release, Oktoberfest Executive Director Dave MacNeil says they’re excited to move into a new venue.

“The space is unique and unlike anything currently existing in the Waterloo Region. We are confident that our teams will work seamlessly together to provide a wonderful experience for Oktoberfest guests.”

K-W Oktoberfest 2017 officially gets underway on October 6th.
