Regional Police says what began in Cambridge yesterday with a 911 call about a triple-murder, ended as a false alarm.
Tuesday afternoon, around 4:45, police got a call from a man who said multiple homicides had just occurred in a home on Riverbank Drive.
Police came out in full force, including the Emergency Response Unit, and arrested one male outside the home.
Officers checked inside — and then all the surrounding buildings — but they found nothing.
A 32-year old man was arrested under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital.
No charges will be laid.
The presence of the intense police activity generated a lot of concern on social media.
One of many tweets read, “Holy crazy out front of house, Got told to stay in house, not safe outside they said.”
