Peel Regional Police issue warning for Kitchener woman

A 36-year-old Kitchener woman who poisoned children has been released from prison.
Peel Regional Police have released a public safety advisory, saying Christine Allen will be residing in the Brampton area.
She was convicted of deliberately poising four young children in her care, resulting in illness to all of her young victims and serious harm to one.
Const. Mark Fischer of Peel Regional Police says Allen will have a number of restrictions placed upon her release.
“One of which includes not being the in presence of any children under the age of 16, unless accompanied by a responsible adult, or has been approved by her parole supervisor.”
Peel Police say they have reason to believe Allen is at an elevated risk to re-offend.
Fischer adds anyone in the area should be cautious, especially parents.
“Peel Regional Police are concerned for everyone’s safety. We ask that they use caution if they encounter Allen, and any parents should be cognizant of their children’s activies and any individuals they are associating with.”
Police and Correctional Service Canada will be working together to monitor her activities within the community.
