Man stabbed on Erb Street during robbery in Waterloo

Regional police are searching for three people after a man was stabbed and assaulted during a robbery in Waterloo.

Early Monday morning around 4 a.m., a man and woman were walking down Erb Street West when they were approached by three men.

The victim was stabbed in the stomach before the three men took his wallet and cell phone, he was later taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The woman was not injured.

Police say they are looking for three black men, who were wearing black clothing and balaclavas at the time.

One of the men is described as 6’1″ with a thin build.
