A Waterloo Regional Police Service dog has died.
A sudden illness claimed Titan’s life.
The 3.5-year-old German Shepherd became a member of the WRPS in May 2015.
Police say Titan was responsible for 18 arrests and recently located a suspect in the Fairview Park area who was armed with a knife.
Titan was named by the community through a Twitter contest.
WRPS Chief Bryan Larkin says, “Titan was a happy-go-lucky dog but also a capable resource for our Service. He was a kind and loyal partner to his handler and together they were an upbeat and successful team.”
