54 pigs euthanized after livestock truck crashes on Erbs Road

A stretch of road near Baden was shut down for hours on Monday afternoon after a crash involving a livestock transport truck.
Regional Police say the truck owned by a Sebringville company was carrying over 200 pigs when it tipped over at Erbs Road and Wilmot Easthope Road.
Damage to the vehicle was extensive, and 54 of the pigs had to be euthanized on scene by a local veterinarian.
Police say the 24-year-old driver from Lucknow was not injured, and has been charged with careless driving.
