Talks continue between the Region of Waterloo and the Ontario Nurses Association, representing Public Health and Emergency Service employees.
Both parties are expected to meet in mediation on March 27th. The Ministry of Labour is also involved in discussions.
Over 130 nurses are employed at the Region of Waterloo including Public Health nurses, registered nurses, registered practical nurses, nurse practitioners, and nurse specialist registered nurses.
Local nurses represented by the Ontario Nurses Association will be in legal strike position at 12:01 a.m. on March 29th.
The previous contract expired on June 30, 2016.
