Erie spoils Rangers’ final regular season home game with OT win

On “Fan Appreciation Night” at the Aud, the Rangers fell to the Erie Otters 3-2 with the OT winner coming from Alex DeBrincat.
Connor Bunnaman scored twice with the tying goal coming just minutes before the end of regulation but that wasn’t enough for the Rangers.
Luke Opilka was solid between the pipes, stopping 27 shots from one of the highest powered offenses in the OHL.
The Rangers are in sixth-place and will take on whatever team finishes third in their conference for the first round of the playoffs
Kitchener’s final regular season game is in Owen Sound against the Attack on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
