Women’s Day event taking place in Kitchener

A “pop up” Women’s Day’ event goes today in Kitchener. It’s in the Kitchener City Hall Rotunda.
Nevertheless She Persisted gets underway at noon.
Karen Scian is a Professor at Conestoga College who’s involved in today’s event. Scian tells 570 News the event features speakers and experiences that are documenting “the feminist journey” over time.
She says no matter what the barriers you encounter, Women persist and keep moving forward.
Scian says this is an ongoing journey and whatever obstacles she faces, she will persist.
They’ll also be taking down names during this event to honour the missing indigenous women and girls across Canada.
