Lavery Road closes Ament Line after fuel spill

Regional Police had Lavery Road shut down for hours at Ament Line after a crash early Tuesday morning.
Police say a fuel truck was travelling on Lavery in Wellesley Township just before 9 a.m. and slid off the road due to the icy conditions.
The truck then tipped onto its side, and spilled a small quantity of fuel into the ditch and onto the roadway.
The Region of Waterloo was contacted to help deal with the fuel spill, and Lavery Road was closed at Ament Line until the evening as they continued with clean-up.
