Man charged in fatal Kitchener crash due in court

A Kitchener man facing numerous charges in a fatal car crash late November is due in court Thursday.
26-year-old Ahmed Darwish is due to make a video appearance at 2:30pm.
Darwish is charged with impaired driving causing death, following a crash November 27th that took the life of a mother and badly inured her baby boy.
The rear end collision happened on Highway 7/8 just west of Trussler Road.
29-year-old Susana Dumitru died in the crash.
Her funeral was held mid December.
A crowd funding campaign helped raise over $40,000 to return her to her home country of Romania.
Her now three month old son, George, has been at Sick Kids Hospital.
Dumitru had worked for Carnaby Homes. She and her husband had recently lived in Baden.
