Hamilton, Oshawa in running to host 100th Memorial Cup

Two Ontario cities are in the running to serve as host of the 100th edition of the Memorial Cup in 2018.

Hamilton and Oshawa have been shortlisted, along with Regina.

The Bulldogs, Generals and Pats will now make presentations to the National Site Selection Committee. The host city will be announced in February 2017.

“The Canadian Hockey League’s mission for the historic 100th presentation of the Memorial Cup is to capture, preserve, and enhance the legacy of one of the most prestigious trophies in all of sport,” said CHL President David Branch.

The 2017 junior hockey showcase will be hosted by Windsor and starts May 18th.
