The Kitchener Panthers are the first team to advance in the IBL playoffs.
Kitchener swept the Cardinals with an 11-4 win in Hamilton on Tuesday.
Another solid outing for Tanner Nivins, who went 3-for-6 with three runs and an RBI. Sean Reilly also singled twice and drove in two runs.
David Whiteside picked up the win.
Kitchener’s second round opponent has not been determined yet.
