OPP launch truck safety blitz Thursday

The OPP and officials with the Ministry of Transportation will be out today making sure commercial vehicles are up to snuff.
‘Operation Corridor’ is a 24 hour safety initiative aimed at commercial vehicle safety.
OPP Sergeant Kerry Schmidt says in the last 5 years, the OPP have investigated over 27-thousand collisions involving transport trucks.
He says those crashes resulted in 321 lives lost.
The goal of the blitz is to reduce that number.
