Police raid in Fergus finds stolen credit cards, ID’s and Meth

OPP in Wellington County have made two arrests after a raid of a home in Fergus.
At just after 9:00 a.m. this morning a detached garage at a home on St. Patrick Street was raided.
Inside Police found a large quantity of stolen credit cards and identity documents. Police also found Methamphetamine.
As a result a 34-year-old male and 35-year-old female have been charged with a number of crimes.
The pair faces five charges of mail theft, five counts of mischief under $5,000 and possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. The pair is being held by awaiting a bail hearing.
The OPP said in a release that they are continuing the investigation with assistance from Canada Post due to the sheer amount of mail that was stolen. They say more charges could come as a result.
The arrests were a team effort with Wellington County OPP, South Bruce OPP and Huron OPP along with the Emergency Response Team assisted in the raid.
