Suspicious death in Cambridge confirmed as homicide

Regional Police say a woman found dead in a home on Glamis Road in Cambridge, was killed by a Cambridge man.
44-year-old Timothy Byrne died in car crash on Wellington Road 32 and Laird Road West on Friday afternoon.
Staff Sergeant Mike Haffner of Regional Police tells 570 News this is not a criminal investigation any more.
“Now that Mr. Byrne has passed away as well, this isn’t a criminal investigation any more. Our main concern is respect to the family members that are impacted by this death and collision.”
After learning about his death, family went to a home at 22-65 Glamis Road where 53-year-old Andrea Normore was found dead.
Police believe she was killed by Byrne.
That crash also sent a 35-year-old Cambridge man to hospital. He has since been released from the hospital.
Police say the two had known each other for three years and were in a relationship. They are not releasing details surrounding the death of Normore.
