Man to be charged with manslaughter in Texas crash that killed 4 Kitchener residents

New details emerge about a deadly crash in Texas that claimed the lives of four Kitchener residents.

They died early Friday after a vehicle travelling the wrong way slammed into their minivan on an interstate highway.

Officials in Kyle, Texas now confirm they have issued four arrest warrants for manslaughter for the driver of that other vehicle.

However, because of his medical condition, he has not yet been arrested.

He’s been identified as 22-year-old Wilson Molinares.

The horrific crash killed 27-year-old Margaretha Wall Hildebrandt, 31-year-old Heinrich Martens, 16-month-old Jacob Wall Hiebert and 30-year-old Gerhard Hiebert.

Two young daughters were treated in hospital and then released into the care of family.

Meantime, the brother of Gerhard Hiebert has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs of returning the victims to Mexico for burial.

Any money left over would go to the children left behind.
