Kitchener man, missing since ’86, found in St. Catharines

Nearly 30 years after he was reported missing, a Kitchener man could finally be coming home.

Waterloo Regional Police say Edgar Latulip has been found safely in St. Catharines. He had been missing since September of 1986.

They say LaTulip received a head injury which left him with a limited memory of his past including his identity.

Police were able to locate him when he gave his former name to his social worker, who contacted Niagara Regional Police.
Using a DNA comparison, he was positively identified.

His family is obviously shocked, yet thrilled, and looking forward to a reunion with him in the near future.
