Ayr family returns home to find armed intruder inside

A harrowing experience for an Ayr family.
Waterloo Regional Police say they returned home around 7:30pm Thursday to find an intruder armed with a knife inside their home.
Police say there was a brief struggle before the intruder fled.
He’s described as white, 16 to 20 years old, 6′ with a thin build.
He was dressed almost entirely in black, including a black ski mask, but also had on a blue parka.
He was carrying two back packs.
