‘Giving Tuesday’ to inspire giving and volunteerism

You’ve heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.. but what about Giving Tuesday?
‘Giving Tuesday’ happens on December 1st to inspire giving and volunteerism within the community.
Dawn Gill with Kitchener’s House of Friendship spoke to 570 News about the campaign.
“We’re kicking off sort of the season of giving, by celebrating Giving Tuesday, but it really is just the beginning. We have many campaigns throughout the month of December to try and benefit the community.”
Social media will also be a large part of the campaign. People are encouraged to use the Twitter hashtag #GivingTuesdayWR to post “un-selfies” to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
