Police respond to active shooter at Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — At least three police officers have been injured in an active shooter situation at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Police Lt. Catherine Buckley said officers were deployed Friday and the situation has not been stabilized. She didn’t immediately have any other details.

There are reports that the gunman shot multiple people, including three police officers, and then barricaded himself inside Planned Parenthood.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports that at least four people have been injured, and one person was lying dead in the parking lot.

There are reports that the gunman is firing at passing cars.

Officers from the Colorado Springs Police and Colorado State Patrol are on the scene with guns drawn pointed at the clinic.

Police have issued a shelter-in-place order for a nearby shopping mall.

Colorado Springs is the second-most populous city in Colorado, and is about 110 kilometres south of Denver.
