Police are warning UAV’s are not permitted near airports

A close call at the Region of Waterloo Airport after an unmanned arial vehicle came within 10 feet of hitting a plane.
It happened yesterday around 3 p.m. at the end of runway 32 over a wooded area.
No one was hurt, and the plane missed the UAV.
Police are reminding us these types of vehicles are prohibited by Transport Canada from flying within 9 km of any airport at any height.
