2015 Rogers Oktoberfest Women of the Year Award winners

The Rogers Oktoberfest Women of the Year Awards were handed out on Thursday night.

-Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region won in the group achievement category

-Pat Singleton with the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank was honoured in the professional category

-Karley George, a student at Resurrection Catholic Secondary School was honoured as a young adult, recognized for her work founding the “Be a Buddy Club” and getting young women to take on leadership roles

-In the community service category – Indrisa Pandit received a standing ovation for her inspiring words, paying tribute to women who overcome and help transform this community

Also honoured last night at Bingemans:

-Janice Jo Lee in the arts and culture category

-Shauna Lynn Simon for entrepreneur

-Adrienne O’Donnell was honoured in the sports and recreation category

-The health and wellness award was given to Debby Riepert

-The lifetime achievement award goes to Ann O’Donnell-Beckwith
