Construction proving difficult for those getting Oktoberfest gear

The Hans House in downtown Kitchener says construction along Benton Street is making it difficult for customers to get their Oktoberfest gear ahead of the festival, which kicks off this Friday.

Although sales have not dropped, Bev McCaroll who works at the Hans House says parking has been an issue for customers.

“There is parking beside us along the ally. With the road being closed, they do have the option of parking on the road as long as they are coming in and grabbing something and leaving again.”

McCaroll says staff at the Hans House are available by phone at (519) 570-4267 for parking inquiries and information regarding parking can also be found on their website www.oktoberfest.ca.

ION construction along Benton Street between Church Street and King Street is expected to wrap up on October 19th.
