Aviation Fun Day at the Region’s Airport

The Region of Waterloo International Airport is getting ready for their annual Aviation Fun Day.

Vintage planes, behind-the-scenes tours and flight simulations will all be offered at the aviation extravaganza.

The event kicks off at 10 AM, rain-or-shine, and offers members of the community the unique opportunity to see how the aviation industry operates and also enjoy some of the fun plane-related events that they have in store.

General Manager of the airport Chris Wood spoke to The Eric Drozd Show yesterday about the event.

“We’re gonna have lots of activities, including a drone demonstration. The event is very family-friendly, we have lots of things planned for the kids including a lego-building contest.”

Admission for the event is free but volunteers from the Food Bank of Waterloo Region and the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank will be on-site to collect non-perishable food items and accept any donations.
