Police canvassing the area of Overlea Drive in Kitchener after woman was sexually assaulted in her home

Police are canvassing the area of Overlea Drive in Kitchener today after a woman was sexually assaulted in her home.

It happened early Tuesday morning, the woman woke up to the man in her bedroom, the woman isnt physically injured and the man got away.

Alana Holtom with Regional Police says they are set up on the street hoping to find more information about the incident through neighbours.

“We have our command post set up in the area, and we have our officers who are canvassing door to door. What they’re doing is looking for more information, if anyone saw anything, if anyone has anything they want to bring forward in the neighbourhood, they have the opportunity to do so.”

The man is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 pounds, wearing a navy blue sweatshirt, black sweat pants and gloves.
