Guelph man faces charges after offering people rides in the downtown area

A 39-year-old Guelph man faces a hefty fine over 350-dollars after offering rides to people in the downtown area.
Police say they saw his vehicle on Gordon Street around 1:30 a.m., picking up passengers.
He is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with “Pick up passenger for compensation, without authority.”
