Ground breaking today for new women’s shelter in Cambridge

The ground will be broken today on a new women’s shelter in Cambridge.
The new Haven House will go up on Acorn Way and replaces the old one located on Concession.
So far, $3.5-million of the $7-million fundraising goal has been achieved.
The existing Haven House has 30 beds while the new one will have 45 beds for women and children.
The new facility is slated to open a year from now.
