University of Waterloo introducing Beyoncé course this fall

The QUEEN is getting her own course at the University of Waterloo.

Starting this fall students can take a course on Beyoncé called “Gender and Performance” which focuses on her most recent album.

Professor Naila Kaleta-Mae tells 570 News it’s a good talking point for issues happening around the globe.

“We have an international, mega, superstar of her stature. Who is a woman, who is black, at the same time there continues to be these real, complex, and violent compilations and actions around people who are black in North America.”

She adds they’ll also talk about feminism because it’s the first album where Beyoncé aligns herself with that ideology.
