VIDEO: Toronto area boy undergoing surgery starts ‘Worldwide Hug Day’ movement

VIDEO from Nadine Weis:

Thursday is Worldwide Hug Day, a movement started by eight-year-old Sebastian Yanquelevech who is undergoing a second brain surgery.

He wants everyone to hug someone because he doesn’t want his mother, Nadine Weis, to feel along during this surgery.

“I’m here to created awareness. I’m here to prove to my kids that we are very capable of creating something very powerful when people get together,” Weis said.

Sebastien has suffered seizures since he was a child and it’s hoped the surgery stops them from happening.

The video has been viewed almost 10,000 times.

The family has received e-mails from all over the world who say they’ll be participating.
