Road and weather are considered possible factors after a crash in Wilmot Township that closed a section of Gerber Road for several hours.
Police say it happened just after 12 p.m. when a car was travelling westbound on Gerber. Police say the driver of the car hit a snow drift, lost control and went into the eastbound lanes, hitting another vehicle.
The 18-year-old male driver of the first car was airlifted to a London hospital with major but non-life threatening injuries.
The 46-year-old male driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital in Kitchener with minor injuries.
An investigation is underway and police say charges are pending.
