Rangers begin northern swing by halting road losing streak

The Kitchener Rangers snapped their five game road losing streak with confidence on Thursday night in North Bay.

Brandon Robinson and Ryan MacInnis each had a pair as the Rangers defeated the Battalion 5-1.

Jake Paterson was also strong in Kitchener’s goal, kicking aside 26 of 27 shots.

Waterloo native Kyle Wood picked up an assist on North Bay’s only goal.

“…It’s huge, we’re just trying to carry that into the rest of the weekend and that’s our plan.” MacInnis on starting the three game northern swing with a win.

“…We were more concerned about getting back to playing our way and I thought that we did that tonight.” said Rangers head coach, Troy Smith.

The Rangers skate in Sudbury tonight. 570 News has the pre-game show at 7pm.
