WRPS and Rangers supporting Special Olympics Ontario

Waterloo Regional Police are teaming up with The Kitchener Rangers in support of Special Olympics Ontario.

Those going to tonight’s game can make a donation to the Special Olympics and enter a draw to win a Waterloo Regional Police ride along, WRPS swag or a Kitchener Rangers Hockey jersey.

“We’re simply excited to be there” says Bryan Larkin, Waterloo Regional Police Chief. “I encourage all listeners, and all folks to come out and support it. My challenge to the community is if you have not volunteered at a Special Olympics event, it’s a must-do. It’s a bucket list piece because it will change who you are and change your outlook on life.”

Larkin will be doing the ceremonial puck drop with special athlete Marley Gayler. Gayler has been involved with Special Olympics for 8 years and has competed in various Summer and Winter sports.

The Rangers host the Attack tonight. Listen to the game on 570 News at 7pm.
