As the calendar flipped, it seems so too did the Kitchener Rangers fortunes.
The Rangers made it three wins in three days when they stopped the Spitfires in a shootout 5-4 Saturday in Windsor.
The win gives the Rangers points in six of eight games in 2015.
Brandon Robinson scored the shootout winner, and Jake Paterson stopped all three Windsor shooters on top of the 31 saves in regulation.
Max Iafrate had a goal and two assists in the win over the Spits.
Darby Llewellyn continues his torrent pace in 2015. He added a goal and a helper to give him eight points in eight games. The third-year Ranger only managed five points in November and December combined.
Ryan MacInnis’ goal in the second period tied his point-total last season; in 25 less games.
The Rangers slide into sixth place in the Western Conference with the win. They’re leading the Owen Sound Attack by one point, but have played one more game.
Ed Jovanovski was honoured before the game in Windsor.
The Rangers are in London on Tuesday night, before hosting the Kingston Frontenacs on Friday night. The game against the Fronts is also Don Cameron Potato Night. http://www.kitchenerrangers.com/article/don-cameron-potato-night-is-just-around-the-corner
