Grand jury pondering charges in a racially explosive case

FERGUSON, Missouri — The St. Louis building where a grand jury is considering whether to indict a white police officer who shot and killed an unarmed black teenager has a barricade around it in case there’s trouble.

There’s no solid indication when the grand jury will announce its decision, but preparations for possible violent protests continue.

A St. Louis civic group (STL Inc.) said yesterday that the grand jury would reconvene Monday to continue deliberating whether to charge Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in the August 9th shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown.
