16-year-old male suffers major injuries after morning crash in Cambridge

A 16-year-old Cambridge male is in hospital after a crash in Cambridge early this morning.
Regional Police say he was riding his e-bike Southbound on Hespeler Road approaching Munch Avenue.
As the light turned green, police say he went through the intersection and was struck by a westbound vehicle that was trying to turn right.
The teen was taken to hospital with major injuries, but the other driver was not hurt.
Police say the e-bike was destroyed in the process.
An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
