Owen Sound Attack defeats Kitchener Rangers 4-3

It wasn’t the result they wanted, but a point nonetheless.

The first two shooters scored for Owen Sound in the shootout, and the Attack tripped the Rangers 4-3.

The Rangers managed to earn a point after finding themselves down 3-0 after the first period, but answered back with three goals of their own in the second.

The upside, is the Rangers have now earned at least a point in six straight games.

Mike Davies got the scoring started for the Rangers and added an assist on Brandon Robinson’s first goal of the year.

Matthew Greenfield stopped 31 of 34 shots in the loss.

Waterloo native, Kyle Platzer earned an assist on the Attack’s second goal of the game, and scored the game winner in the shootout.

The Rangers are tied for fifth place in the Western Conference with 13 points with Plymouth, but have one game in hand.

They’re back in action tonight, on the road against those Whalers, before hosting the Ottawa 67’s at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Pregame begins tonight on 570 News at 6:30 p.m. with Don Cameron and Mike Farwell.
