Victoria Park finalist in Great Places in Canada contest

Kitchener’s Victoria Park neighbourhood is one of 14 finalists in this year’s Great Places in Canada contest.

The list was paired down from a field of 32 nominations and over 14,000 votes were received from across the country.
Winners will be announced on November 7th which is World Town Planning Day.

“Six locations will take home the honours, either as People’s Choice winners based on overall numbers of votes, or as the Grand Prize winners based on planning excellence and as determined by Canadian planners.”

Other finalists include London’s Old East Village, Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System in Hamilton and Burlington, as well as Blockhouse Island in Brockville.
