Demonstrators call for quick action to combat climate change

Activists around the world have rallied to bring climate change to the forefront ahead of Tuesday’s major U-N Climate Summit.
Demonstrators marched in several major cities Sunday — Tens of thousands in New York City — to urge policymakers to take quick action to combat climate change.
There was also a People’s Climate March in Uptown Waterloo.
Dozens of Canadians joined the Manhattan protest, where Stu Basden called on Prime Minister Harper to join the 120 world leaders who`ll be attending Tuesday’s summit.
While Harper plans to address the U-N General Assembly this week, he won`t be at the Climate Summit.
Environment Minister Leona Aglukkaq will represent Canada at the meeting.
