Tim Hortons says nothing will change for its customers

Tim Hortons is trying to reassure Canadians that life at the iconic coffee chain will not change for its customers now that it’s ‘double-doubled up’ with Burger King.

It has taken out a double page ad in the national newspapers.

On one page is a picture of a Tim Hortons coffee with the word “Before” on top and the second page and the identical picture with the word “After” above it.

The ad goes on to say the focus on its guests and community will never change.

The two companies announced Tuesday that Miami-based Burger King and private equity firm 3-G Capital will buy Tim Hortons in a $12.5-billion deal.
