Big Music Fest problem free and may return next year

Big Music Fest appears to have come and gone without a hitch.

Regional Police tell 570 News it was a “piece of cake”, with no major incidents stemming from the massive three-day music festival that featured headliners Aerosmith and Bryan Adams.

CTV News is reporting 50-thousand people filled McLennan Park over the weekend, and there are already talks of the festival returning to Kitchener.

While neighbours reportedly enjoyed the free festival from the front- and back-yards, there were some issues with parking.

Today’s Record reports cars parked on streets nearby for too long were ticketed, and a team of seven bylaw officers were assisted by three police officers to patrol the roads and trails.

There is no word on where the festival would be held if it returns to Kitchener.
