The NBA is coming down hard on Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling in response to racist comments the league says he made in a recorded conversation.
Sterling has been banned for life by the NBA and fined US$2.5 million.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver also says he will try to force a sale of the Clippers.
Silver calls Sterling’s comments and views “deeply offensive and harmful.”
Clippers players made a statement before playing Golden State last Sunday.
They threw their team-issued warm-up gear down at centre court and conducted their pre-game routines with shirts inside-out to cover the team’s logo.
