Vampires are so yesterday, and werewolves are the new zombies!
Don’t be alarmed if you spot any wondering about in Hespeler. The town is the setting for an upcoming TV series “Bitten”, being put on by Space based on Canadian author Kelley Armstrong’s critically acclaimed Women of the Otherworld novels.
There’s no shortage of Canadian star power cast for leading roles including Laura Vandervoort (Smallville), who will star as the only female werewolf in the world. Cast alongside Vandervoort now are Greyston Holt (Alcatraz), Paul Greene (The Client List) and Greg Bryk (Rookie Blue).
The show will follow Elena Michaels (Vandervoort) after she’s bitten by her boyfriend Clayton Danvers (Holt). Elena moves to Toronto and finds a new boyfriend while working as a photographer, Phillip McAdams (Greene).
Space has ordered 13-one-hour episodes for season one, which will premiere in early 2014. Filming will also take place in Hamilton and Toronto.
