2013 WOW awards handed out

It was a very inspiring night in Kitchener last night – the fifth annual Women of Waterloo Region awards were handed out at Bingemans.
Six incredible local women were honoured for their amazing work in the community,
the WOW Factor award going to Donna Diebel, and the Science and Technology award went to Caity Dyck.
Here are the other winners:
- Jill Magazine – Education award
- Isabel Cisterna – Creative Arts award
- Ingrid Schiller – Community Engagement award
- Tahani Aburaneh – Entrepreneur award
The WOW awards were dreamed up by Amanda Knapp and her friend Pam Dillon. They wanted to create a forum to recognize the great things women do locally and women supporting other women.
The winners have a chance to “pay it forward” by also honouring someone important in their own life.
